IRUM’s challenges before implementing the APS solution from Senior Software
With over 70 years of tradition in manufacturing tractors and forestry equipment, IRUM partnered with Senior Software to optimize production processes and manage multiple work centers efficiently and error-free.
Before collaborating with Senior Software, the company used a system that did not guarantee data accuracy, had numerous limitations, and last but not least, prevented real-time access to critical production flow information. As a result, IRUM was unable to identify potential problems or deviations in advance.
After implementing the APS system, the company, which generates annual revenue of approximately 28 million euros, has streamlined production flows, minimized downtime and obtained complete visibility across the entire production process, gaining better control over resources and meeting delivery deadlines.
One aspect I greatly appreciate about this system is its visualization capabilities, which are extremely intuitive and user-friendly. We have access to a wide range of charts and reports that we can generate directly from the planning tool. Every day, we monitor operations that are delayed compared to the set deadlines, and this helps us quickly identify potential issues.
A particularly useful feature is order merging, which allows us to produce multiple orders in a single batch that would otherwise be spread over longer periods. This contributes to fewer changeovers and optimizes raw material procurement. Additionally, producing larger batches helps us streamline the factory’s logistics flows.

The company operates on a total surface area of 175,000 sqm, which includes its own IFOR Research and Development Center, production facilities, administrative buildings and other infrastructure and superstructure elements. IRUM’s product range includes agricultural tractors, funiculars, combines, forestry machinery, spare parts and other specialized equipment. The factory is also equipped with a CNC processing center, foundry, heat treatment line, tooling workshop, welding workshop, painting line and service center.
