TeraSteel – Central and Eastern European leader in the production of thermal insulation panels – implemented a production planning software for its 3 factories located in Romania and Serbia. Since using the planning solution from Senior Software, the company has increased production by 10%, collaboration with customers has improved and any changes occur in real time, without delaying orders in progress.
TeraSteel – European manufacturer of insulated panels and zinc-plated structures – achieved a 10% increase in production, using the APS solution from Senior Software. Through automation, the system contributed both to the optimization of the 3 factories located in Romania and Serbia, as well as to the improvement of customer relations.
TeraSteel – a subsidiary of the TeraPlast Group, which has a turnover of 65 million euro – has reached an annual production capacity of sandwich panels of over 3.7 million square meters, and the production of galvanized panels amounts to over 7000 tons. According to TeraSteel managers, after the APS suite implementation, the production of panels in Romania increased from 1.5 million square meters to 2.2 million square meters per year.
Before implementing the Senior Software solution, we were producing 1.5 million square meters, and this year, with the Romanian factory, we will produce 2.2 million square meters. For TeraSteel, this software implementation brought an increase of more than 10% of the total production, but, in my opinion, the most important benefits are the flexibility offered by the solution and the traceability gained within the relationship with our customers.
Any changes we make to the production line or to the delivery can be announced very quickly and in a timely manner to our customers, so that they can carry out their site organization. All this is turning into a much bigger financial gain for our customers, and we, as a business, position ourselves as a very serious company.

Whether is introducing new orders, adjusting current orders or planning supply, company representatives say that such changes can only be made with a few clicks. Moreover, according to the management team, if something happens to a production line, within 15 seconds the manufacturer manages to re-plan even 500 orders. All these actions are possible thanks to the advanced functionalities within the APS soluiton provided by Senior Software.
If something happens with the materials supply or if a customer is late, we can re-plan everything so that we can be optimized at all times. The fact that we can change the production planning three, seven, ten times a day without losing money is the most important thing and this gives us control.
From my point of view, this software implementation took us from the National Football League to the European Championship and I highly recommend it to other Romanian companies that have the courage to go abroad.
