Initially, the field agent would go to the customer, add the order in the SFA and send it to the ERP, and from there everything was done somewhat manually, through a rather tedious process that involved a lot of attention, the risk of error being high. However, when we implemented this MES solution, things became much simpler. Everything we operate in ERP, we see in MES and vice versa. Further, by integrating ERP and SFA, we got a much better flow of data from the field to the factory, and then to the warehouse, and then to the product preparation and delivery area. And with BI, all the data of interest is gathered and made available to us in real time, to give us a clear overview and enable us to make certain decisions.
The process of selling, preparing and sending products to the customer now involves considerably less time. We have saved about 3 hours a day and the risk of errors in quantity or batch has been eliminated. It is very easy to follow the production process and maintain product quality with the MES solution. Things happen faster, you can act almost instantly and people respect the defined framework, because they cannot deviate from it. The interconnection between systems allows us to have complete transparency over production. People are much more connected to what we are doing and everyone knows exactly what they have to do.
