IRUM's challenges before using Senior Software's APS solution
With a tradition of over 70 years in the manufacture of tractors and forestry equipment, IRUM began collaborating with Senior Software out of the desire to optimize manufacturing processes and manage multiple work centers efficiently and error-free.
Before partnering with Senior Software, the company was using a system that did not guarantee data accuracy, had numerous limitations and, last but not least, prevented real-time access to essential information regarding production flows. Thus, the IRUM manufacturer could not identify potential problems and deviations in advance.
After implementing the APS system, IRUM, a company with a turnover of approximately 28 million euros, streamlined its production flows, minimized downtime and obtained complete visibility over the entire process, having better control of resources and strictly respecting delivery times.
One aspect that I really appreciate about this system is the visualization mode, which is extremely intuitive and user-friendly. We have access to a wide range of graphs and reports, which we can generate directly from the planning tool. Every day we monitor operations that are late compared to the established deadlines, and this helps us quickly identify any problems. A particularly useful functionality is the merging of orders, which allows us to produce in a single batch several orders that would otherwise have been distributed over longer periods. This contributes to reducing change overs and optimizing the supply of raw materials. In addition, producing large batches helps to streamline the logistical flows in the factory

IRUM is a company specialized in the production of forestry, agricultural and other machinery and equipment. The company has a total area of 175,000 sq m, including its own Research and Development Center IFOR, production departments, administrative buildings and other infrastructure and superstructure elements. The range of products manufactured by IRUM includes agricultural tractors, cable cars, combines, forestry machinery, spare parts and other specialized equipment.
