Automation of Vitacom’s new logistics center
Vitacom moved from a 2,200-square-meter warehouse to a new location, and it now operates in a 5,000-square-meter warehouse with 12,000 items under management. The new logistics center is fully automated with modern equipment and technologies aligned with the Industry 4.0 direction.
The new logistics center is fully automated with modern equipment and technologies aligned with the Industry 4.0 direction. The WMS system controls the warehouse systems and robots, and by integrating the warehouse management software with automation solutions (Conveyor, AutoStore, VNA), the distributor has optimized its logistics activities and storage space. As a result, the company has achieved greater control and visibility over all operations within the logistics facility and, at the same time, improved work speed and process accuracy.
The system is integrated with the AutoStore program, which is the most important part of the warehouse. It greatly improves the efficiency of our colleagues’ work and is currently calibrated for picking. At present, a single operator can perform picking for 150 orders per hour, which is a very significant number.

WMS is a system used in all logistics activities, helping us maintain a high level of control and accuracy in all aspects related to goods movement, and if errors occur, they can be identified quickly. At present, a single operator can perform picking for 150 orders per hour, which is very significant.In addition, our storage capacity has increased far more than the warehouse surface area, and thanks to the VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) forklift integrated with WMS, we can maintain a distance of 1.80–1.85 meters between racks, compared to three and a half meters in the old warehouse. This equipment operates on an iGo pilot system that receives commands automatically from WMS, so the operator cannot make mistakes. Based on the command received from WMS, the VNA forklift stops exactly at the location from which it must pick up or place a pallet.

WMS integrated with SeniorXRP – for integrated business management
