Light Candel Art significantly reduced order collection and preparation times, organised its warehouses and improved its decision-making process with the ERP, BI and WMS systems provided by Senior Software. By using these fully integrated solutions, the company, which distributes candles and grave candles and has a turnover of RON 125 million, benefits from a well-organised and uninterrupted workflow. Automation has improved employee productivity and customer satisfaction, eliminated human errors and increased sales.
Before partnering with Senior Software, the Light Candel Art team faced multiple challenges. The distributor did not have access to up-to-date data, could not accurately estimate its inventory requirements or efficiently manage the increased volume of goods, while order preparation was difficult. Furthermore, incomplete reports, issued with delays and without guaranteeing data accuracy, affected the company’s development plans. All these issues were resolved following the implementation of SeniorERP, ERP software for resource management, SeniorVisualBI, BI software for data reporting and analysis, and WMS, warehouse management software from Senior Software.
Senior Software solutions helped us overcome the difficulties of recent years. Based on ERP data regarding prices, sales, suppliers and customers, the BI system helped us generate highly accurate forecasts and ensure the required inventory levels during a period when it was almost impossible to estimate anything.
WMS enabled us to organise our warehouses efficiently and reduce order preparation time by at least 30%. In the year following the WMS implementation, with approximately the same number of employees, we achieved a 40% higher turnover and also increased our profit. Senior Software systems are perfect for our business, and I do not believe we could continue operating without them.
With BI, the Light Candel Art team can analyse data from the ERP system to monitor sales in detail, with information broken down by product groups, suppliers, customer types and other relevant criteria. Furthermore, the company can generate highly accurate forecasts regarding demand and inventory requirements, even several months in advance.
The WMS system has contributed significantly to streamlining picking processes. At the same time, due to the connections between WMS, ERP and the online sales platforms, customer orders are received and prepared rapidly while maintaining data accuracy.
Without WMS, we would probably have had many dissatisfied customers. The software shows us where every item is located and the available quantities at any given time. Before its implementation, there were situations in which goods were prepared until 9 or 10 p.m. Now, even during peak season, operations do not continue beyond 7 p.m., and only rarely until 7:30 p.m. [...] After the employees became accustomed to the WMS software [...], sales growth was exponential.
